Export your notes from Samsung Notes
- In Samsung Notes, long-press to select the notes you want (or Select all).
- Tap the three-dot menu and choose "Save as file".
- Pick "Microsoft Word file" (.docx) for formatted notes, or "Text file" (.txt) for plain text.
- Samsung saves one file per note to your device storage. Collect them into a single .zip (select them in your file manager and compress) if you exported more than a few.
What comes along
From .docx exports: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, bullet and numbered lists, and checkboxes (which become native task lists) all survive. From .txt exports: the text, nothing else.
One honest limitation: images embedded in a Samsung note are not imported yet; the importer flags each note where that happens so you can bring the pictures over by hand.
Import into PrivacyNotes
- Open PrivacyNotes and go to Settings > Import & Export.
- Pick Samsung Notes as the source.
- Drop in the file you just exported (or click to browse) and start the import.
- Imported notes arrive tagged with their source, so you can review or bulk-edit the whole batch afterwards.
