# Can I make the whole desktop app bigger or smaller?

Yes, in the desktop apps for Mac, Windows and Linux. Press Cmd and the plus key on a Mac, or Ctrl and the plus key on Windows and Linux, to make the whole window bigger. The minus key makes it smaller, and 0 brings it back to normal. The same control is **App size** in Settings > Design, with steps from 80% to 200%.

App size scales everything at once: the sidebar, the list, the menus and your text. To change only your writing, use **Text size** in Settings > Editor. App size applies to the device you set it on. In a browser, the browser's own zoom does the same job.
