# What is the quick switcher, and what can it find? The quick switcher jumps to anything by its title. Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux (Cmd+P or Ctrl+P works too), or click **Jump to** in the sidebar or the list header. Type part of a title to find notes, tasks, journal entries, Vault items, bookmarks, contacts, attached files and settings. Enter opens the item, and Option+Enter or Alt+Enter opens it in a tab. Type > first to run a command instead, such as creating a new note or going to a section. To find words inside your text rather than in titles, pick the **Search everything** row, or press Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter from any row. Matching happens on your device, so nothing you type is sent to us. The quick switcher is free. --- Source: https://privacynotes.app/help/quick-switcher
