# How do sections, folders, tags and spaces work together?

Everything you keep lives in one library. The sections in the sidebar, such as Notes, Vault and Journals, are views of that library by type. A folder is a place, so one folder can hold a note and the login that belongs with it, and the folder tree is the same in every section. Its numbers count what the open section holds, and a folder with none of it shows dimmed. A tag is a label, and the sidebar lists only the tags the open section uses.

Spaces split the library into Personal and Work and show one at a time. A top-level folder belongs to one space, with everything inside it, and **Move to Work** in its menu moves it across. An item in no folder belongs to Personal, so anything you create in Work files into a Work folder. Tags are free, and folders and spaces need Pro.
