# How do I search for a word inside one note? Press Cmd+F on a Mac or Ctrl+F on Windows and Linux in an open note, or click the magnifier in the top corner of a long note. Type the word, then press Enter for the next match and Shift+Enter for the previous one, while the bar counts the matches. Press the same keys again, or click the X, to close it. Find works in read-only notes too. With Pro you can also replace: press Option+Cmd+F on a Mac or Ctrl+H on Windows and Linux, or choose **Find and replace** in the note's "..." menu. Replace one match or **All** of them at once, with **Match case** when you need it. Both bars also work in **Show markdown**, where they reach the raw text, such as a code block's language. To search all your notes instead, use the list search, which the / key focuses.
