# Can I clear, sort or reorder a checklist?

Yes. The note's "..." menu has **Uncheck all items** to reuse a list, **Delete checked items** to clear the done ones, and **Sort items by status** to move checked items below the rest. Each one appears only when it would change something. Delete asks first, and Sort and Uncheck all can be undone with Cmd+Z or Ctrl+Z. The bottom of the note counts your progress, such as "3 of 6 checked".

To reorder by hand, drag the grip at the end of an item. Nested items move with it, and Escape cancels the drag. The grip shows when you hover on a computer and stays faintly visible on a touch screen. A checked item moves below the unchecked ones in its list by default; turn that off with **Move checked items down** in Settings > Lists. All of it is free.
