# What happens to event times when I travel to another time zone?

A time on the calendar stays the time you typed. An event at 15:00 shows and rings at 15:00 wherever your device is, the way a reminder in a to-do app does, because every time is kept as a local time with no time zone. [A phone schedules each alert for an exact moment](https://privacynotes.app/help/reminders/), so after a time-zone change, open and unlock PrivacyNotes once in the new zone to move its alerts; while it is open and unlocked, it moves them by itself.

For a call with someone in another time zone, enter the time as it is where you are. If a daylight-saving change skips the hour of an alert, the alert rings at the first minute after the skip.
